Now, companies are in the maintenance and ongoing compliance phases of SOX. We have left the following information on our website for those that had attended our workshops, providing an historical record of what had been accomplished. While no longer accredited by NASBA, ManSims maintains the appropriate records for those who earned CPE credit through the workshops. The Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 Compliance Workshop was born out of our Project Management Workshop, and in addition to all of the Sarbanes-Oxley specific material, much of our Project Management learnings are in there too. If a Sarbanes-Oxley implementation isn’t a project, we don’t know what is. It would be our opinion that anyone with any significant role in a Sarbanes-Oxley implementation is well served to have finely honed Project Management skills. The ManSims Sarbanes-Oxley Workshop inserts the best of our Project Management lessons, incorporating Control Measures, Risk Management, Resource Smoothing, and Teamwork skills. But the Project Management material is only an added feature to the core purpose of the SOX Compliance Workshop. Helping Finance professionals grasp a thorough understanding of the specifics of Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, and then deeply embedding it through the Simulation experience, is the primary objective and the bulk of this specialized Workshop. Our Sarbanes-Oxley Workshops are run by both an experienced simulation Guide and a Subject Matter Expert with serious industry credentials, meaning folks that have already done multiple Sarbanes-Oxley implementations. The depth of the experience of our Guides and SMEs are reason enough to be there. The Workshop also offers the opportunity to share experiences amongst participants, if not in the Workshop, during lunch or dinner breaks. Who Should Attend

Probably everybody you’re thinking of, and then some. Maybe your Mom. Hey, Thanksgiving dinner will be on the table on-time, under budget and without any messy legal issues! Seriously, though, we don’t want to pander on the anxieties of needing to get this done, but let’s face it, you need it done right and there’s no time for re-do’s. We honestly believe there is no better preparation for this effort.

Three Day Format

Our Sarbanes-Oxley Training Workshop began life as exclusively a Four Day Workshop. A Simulation-based Workshop always leaves attendees drained, as you really do feel like you've lived through that Six Months. But repeatedly, we had been asked for a shorter Workshop for busy professionals that have a hard time being away so long. So we are glad to announce that we will be offering your choice of a Three or Four Day version of our Workshop.

There is no material cut to create the Three Day, they are just longer days. The Four Day Workshops ran from 9:00 am to 5:00pm and ended early on the fourth day. The Three Day will run from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm for all three days. We caution that this is a very draining schedule and is packed full with content, but appreciate the need to be away as little as possible. So, now, you can experience the training as you prefer.

Why and What It Costs

Effective May 2006, having largely fulfilled the backlog of training requirements, we are transitioning to providing the Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Workshop exclusively through Private or Semi-Private Workshops. Typically a Client wishes to train a Team of four or more to justify a Private Workshop. Exact costs are dependent on several factors, including location, timing, and if you have a facility or one needs to be rented. Semi-Private means that you'd allow us to offer seats to help further reduce the costs. If we currently have space in a Semi-Private Workshop, we'll advertise it on our Schedule of Workshops page. Much like the Y2K issue, there are armies being assembled to meet this need. Most Public Companies don’t have the expertise to do this without help.
